Understanding Your Bill
To help you understand your water bill, please refer to the graphic below with the corresponding lettered descriptions. You may call the District Office Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at (516) 354-0780 for any further questions about your bill. We are happy to help you!
A: BILLING DATE is the date the bill was generated.
B: ACCOUNT NUMBER is assigned to your account by the Water District.
C: DUE DATE is the date which payment is required to be received by the District. Payment must be made within thirty (30) days of the bill date. Should the due date occur on a weekend or holiday, the next business day will take effect as the due date.
D: AMOUNT DUE indicates the amount due on your due date. It takes into account any prior balances and/or penalties assessed on your account.
E: CURRENT METER ACTIVITY DETAILS indicates the previous billing amount, payments made to your account, the previous water meter reading and the present water meter reading, detailing how we arrived at your billing amount.
F: CUSTOMER and SERVICE ADDRESS shows your details.
G: BILLING PERIOD details the start and end dates of the billing period.
H: MESSAGE area is reserved for special messaging from Franklin Square Water District.
