Meter Replacement Program


To all residents and commercial property owners:

In an effort to provide improved water service and accurate billing, the Franklin Square Water District is upgrading its meter reading system. The upgrade will include the installation of new water meters and reading devices at your home or business.

The installation of the new meter can take as little as 15 to 20 minutes and requires access to your basement or utility room; however, this time frame could be greater depending on the ease of accessibility of the meter. We therefore ask that you make every effort to clear all material obstructing access prior to your scheduled installation appointment. Our contractor, National Metering Services, Inc. will perform the work. Once you receive their letter, please contact them at 1-888-448-0009 to schedule an appointment. You will also be able to set an appointment online by going to their website at www.nmsnj.com.

Residents and Business owners will be able to identify National Metering Services employees by their uniforms, identification tags and company marked vehicles. Do not let anyone into your home without proper identification!
